Phase 5: Health Checks

Two Types of Health Checks

1. Tunnel Health Checks

• Monitors GRE tunnel availability
• Cloudflare sends probes from edge to customer tunnel endpoint
• Source: Cloudflare IPs (https://www.cloudflare.com/ips-v4)

2. Endpoint Health Checks

• Monitors customer server/endpoint availability
• Configured in Conduit YAML
• Default: ICMP ping
• Customer must allow ICMP from Cloudflare IPs
